A brief history of Su Doku:

Sudoku (数独, sūdoku, or Su Doku as it is pronounced in Japan), is a hugely popular number puzzle played by millions of people every day. Although it's origins are actually European, and the puzzle in it's present format was popularised by an American magazine in the 80's.
